Single-Family Housing

Program Overview
The cornerstone of the Renew NC Housing programs is the Single-Family Housing Program. This program provides reconstruction and rehabilitation of owner-occupied, single-family homes across counties covered by the HUD-Identified Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) designation. The Single-Family Housing Program will prioritize homeowners that have major damage to their home or a home that has been destroyed with the opportunity to have their homes reconstructed or rehabilitated consistent with applicable code requirements. The program may also provide mitigation funding for:
- Measures designed to protect residents and structures against predictable hazards given their location; and
- Replacement or repair of private roads and bridges that provide access to housing being reconstructed or rehabilitated.
