About Renew NC
Renew NC was created by the Division of Community Revitalization (DCR) to offer programs that address unmet hurricane recovery needs in western North Carolina, including housing, infrastructure, and economic revitalization. The programs will be funded through a $1.4 billion Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Prescreening Opportunities
Prescreening can help potential applicants prepare a program-specific application in a technical assistance environment. While not required for program application submission, prescreening is strongly encouraged.

Open Program Applications
The following Renew NC programs are currently accepting applications:
- The Multi-Family Construction and Repair Program: Non-LIHTC is accepting applications through November 2, 2026.
- The Workforce Housing for Ownership Program is accepting applications through December 13, 2026.
