Thank you for your support in raising awareness about Renew NC and its vital programs.
Single-Family Housing Program
Homeowners in 28 western North Carolina counties and zip code 28214 in Mecklenburg County who were impacted by Hurricane Helene may be eligible to apply for the Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program (SFHP). Applications are open through January 31, 2026.
The SFHP is a centralized program that offers rehabilitation, reconstruction, replacement, or reimbursement for eligible homes. It prioritizes low-to-moderate income families, especially those with:
- Seniors aged 62 and older,
- Children under 18, and/or
- Individuals with disabilities.
This program is no longer accepting applications as of January 31, 2026. No new applications are being accepted.
Small Rental Rehabilitation Program
The Renew NC Small Rental Rehabilitation Program helps eligible rental property owners (landlords) in 28 western North Carolina counties and zip code 28214 in Mecklenburg County repair, reconstruct, or replace small rental properties (1–4 units) damaged by Hurricane Helene.

Newsletter Blurb
Renew NC, the state’s long-term disaster relief initiative, is providing housing recovery assistance to Helene survivors. Homeowners in 28 western NC counties and one zip code (28214 in Mecklenburg County) are eligible to apply to the Renew NC Single-Family Housing Program and can get help with the costs of repairing, rebuilding, or replacing a home damaged by Helene. The deadline to apply is Dec. 31, 2025.
